Penny Farthing 48"

The 48” MK3 Penny Farthing is a high specification racing Penny Farthing that is designed and produced by Unicycle.com. The MK3 is brought right up to date with the use of modern materials and manufacturing techniques yet harks back to the days of the 1880's when the Penny Farthing was popular. These techniques and materials produce a durable rideable Penny Farthing (ordinary cycle). The frame is made from CrMo and has a moveable rear fork to allow you to change the front fork rake for different riding preferences. The Penny has a standard double step which is ideal for coasting as well as an additional lower step that can be set to the left or right to assist mounting.

The tyre is available in either red or black.

How to size a Penny Farthing

A wheel that is too large or too small will result in an uncomfortable ride. For general riding follow that table shown below, to race, consider going to the size larger. The measurements are from crotch to floor with shoes on.

30" (76cm) inseam length = 48" Penny Farthing
32" (81cm) inseam length = 50" Penny Farthing
34" (86cm) inseam length = 52" Penny Farthing
36" (91cm) inseam length = 54" Penny Farthing
38" (96cm) inseam length = 56" Penny Farthing
